Come, Holy Spirit, Creator,
Come from your bright heavenly throne,
Come, take possession of our souls

You who are called the Paraclete,

Finger of God's right hand;

Pondering God’s Will for this day...

Let us pray: God our Father, you give joy to the world by the resurrection of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Through the prayers of his mother, the Virgin Mary, bring us to the happiness of eternal life. We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

MOST HOLY TRINITY, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we believe and hope in You. We love You and we ask You for the grace to live in intimate and constant union with You.

HEAVENLY FATHER, in Your great mercy, You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, and revealed to us Your plan of salvation which He fulfilled on the Cross. We desire to faithfully unite ourselves to Your Son for Your greater glory, above all, by receiving with love, the Cross You wish to send us.

JESUS, Eternal Priest, Immaculate Host, help us to be transformed into You, by doing as You did the Father’s Will, with perfect obedience and humility of heart.

HOLY SPIRIT, enlighten us, and breathe into us the love of God. We want to live our consecration to You by being obedient to Your inspirations, and leading all people to know You and love You.

MARY, Mother of Jesus and Our Mother, we want to meditate and share your sorrows, especially those you suffered on behalf of the Church after the Ascension of your Son. In your presence we renew our commitment to God. [for Religious:our religious vows; for Novices: our Baptismal promises]. Obtain for us the graces we need to observe them faithfully and bless the members of the Family of the Cross.

V. St. Joseph, spouse of Mary
R. Protect our Work and obtain for us the grace to persevere in it and to die in the state of grace. 

V. Holy Guardian Angels.
R. Guide us that we may always be true members of the Works of the Cross.

V. For all Priests.
R. Lord, increase their faith and apostolic zeal.

V. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
R. Send Lord, laborers to your harvest.

V. For those who are entrusted to guide us.
R. Eternal Shepherd, help them to be docile to Your Spirit. May they lead their brothers with the spirit of love, helping them to faithfully respond to Your call.

Heavenly Father, through the hands of Mary, we offer You, Jesus the Incarnate Word, the Victim in whom You are well pleased. Moved by the love of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, we offer ourselves completely with Him as living hosts.

May we be a living sacrifice out of love for You, in all the events of our lives, obtaining graces for the world, the Church and especially Your priests.

Jesus, savior of all people, save them!

O Holy Spirit, receive the perfect and complete consecration of my whole being. In all my actions, grant me the grace of being my Light, my Guide, my Strength and the Love of my heart.

I surrender myself to You, and I ask of You the grace to be faithful to Your inspirations. Holy Spirit, transform me through Mary and with Mary into a true image of Christ Jesus, for the glory of the Father, and the salvation of the world. Amen.

MERCIFUL FATHER, from Whom all goodness comes, we give You thanks for all the favors You have given us. Forgive our faults and ingratitude, and watch over us with Fatherly care.

JESUS, Savior of all, You show us in Your Heart Your infinite love and Priestly sorrows. Grant us the grace to contemplate them with a thankful love, share them with You, and thus offer You consolation. May we obtain graces for the Church and especially for Your priests.

HOLY SPIRIT, You proceed from the Father and the Son. Come dwell within us. Grant us the grace to become living hosts with Jesus by sharing in His love, purity and sacrifice.

Let us ask for the grace to share with Mary the mystery of Jesus' Passion:

At the cross her station keeping,
Mary stood in sorrow weeping,
When her Son was crucified.

Mary, fount of love's devotion,
Let me share with true emotion
All the sorrow you endured.

Let me, to my latest breath,
In my body bear the death,
Of your dying Son divine.

Joyful Mysteries (Monday and Saturday)

1st The Annunciation
Blessed Virgin, grant us humility to remain faithful to the Word of God and remain docile to His graces that we may share in the fruits of His salvation. Through Christ our Lord.

2nd The Visitation
Blessed Virgin, grant us the spirit of charity and faith to help us bring Christ to our brothers and sisters.

3rd The Birth of Jesus
Blessed Virgin, grant us poverty of spirit to receive Christ and to give him all our love.

4th The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple
Blessed Virgin, our Mother, we beg you to offer us to the Lord with a pure soul, so one day we may be worthy of His glory.

5th Finding the Child Jesus in the Temple
Blessed Virgin, grant those looking for Christ to find Him in his Holy Church and make us look unceasingly for His face in the temple of our soul.

Sorrowful Mysteries (Tuesdays and Fridays)

1st The Agony in the Garden
Sorrowful Virgin, grant us a true repentance of our sins and a filial obedience to the will of God.

2nd The Scourging at the Pillar
Sorrowful Virgin, grant us the courage to patiently endure the sufferings of our body, and "to crucify our flesh and its cravings", through Christ our Lord.

3rd. The Crowning with Thorns
Sorrowful Virgin, grant joy to those who are insulted or persecuted in the name of Jesus, for their recompense will be great in heaven.

4th The Carrying of the Cross
Sorrowful Virgin, grant us perseverance to carry our daily cross in following Christ as expiation for our sins and those of our brothers and sisters.

5th The Crucifixion 
Sorrowful Virgin, grant us the ability to forgive others and bring all people to the foot of the Cross, that they may attain the fruits of salvation and become one in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Glorious Mysteries (Sunday, Wednesdays)

1st The Resurrection of the Lord
Glorious Virgin, grant us a fervent faith in the risen Christ and the grace to live a new life in Him, for the glory of God.

2nd The Ascension of the Lord
Glorious Virgin, grant us hope and a fervent desire for Heaven while we wait the coming of "the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ". (Tt. 2/13)

3rd The Coming of the Holy Spirit
Glorious Virgin, through the Holy Spirit, inflame our hearts with the love of God to spread His love among all of our brothers and sisters, in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Glorious Virgin, assumed in heaven, in the darkness of this world be our star to guide us to Christ and to His glory.

The Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come; before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Preparatory Prayer

O Jesus, we come to join You on the way to Calvary. Through the intercession of your sorrowful Mother, help us understand the immense love with which You accepted death on the Cross. You have repaired the outrage done to the glory of your Father and to the redemption of the human family. May the meditation on your passion and death help us to become more like You in accordance to Your Will.

Repeat at the beginning of each Station:

I. Jesus is condemned to death

"Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost but may have eternal life". Jn 3:16

O Jesus, you received the unjust sentence with peace and calmness because You knew that by dying on the Cross, You would obtain the glory of the Father and our salvation. Grant that we might be as generous as You were, accepting with love all the trials of our lives for the salvation of all.

Mary, our Mother, bless us. As we remember your Son's passion, may we join Him with a fervent desire of imitating Him.

Repeat at the end of each Station:

R. Touch my spirit from above, make my heart with yours accord.

II. Jesus bears his Cross

"If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his Cross every day and follow me" Lk 9:23

Jesus receives the Cross with Joy and Love. He thinks of his Father and embraces the Cross to fulfill the Divine will. Jesus, forgive our lack of faith and love with which we have received the crosses given to us. May we rejoice in presenting to you our struggles and difficulties.

Mary, pray for us that we may always carry the Cross with the same spirit as your Son.

III. Jesus falls the first time

"We had all gone astray like sheep, each taking his own way, and Yahweh burdened him with the sins of all of us". Is 53:6

Weakened by loss of blood in the scourging and unable to continue because of the weight of the Cross, Jesus falls, exhausted.

Let us consider that the weight of the Cross represents our sins which caused Jesus' fall. Lord, we promise to avoid in our lives, not only sin, but any willful fault.

Mary, help us with through your intercession fulfill this promise we have made.

IV. Jesus meets his mother

"All you who pass this way, look and see: is any sorrow like the sorrow that afflicts me?" Lam 1:12

Jesus, because of the immense suffering You experienced in the encounter with your Mother grant us the grace that we may console her every day of our lives, joining her solitude remembering your sufferings.

Mary, obtain for us the grace of consoling Him with pure love, especially in the mystery of His passion and death.

V. Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus carry his Cross

"I tell you solemnly, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me". Mt 25:40

Jesus, our Savior, we don't want to carry the Cross by force as Simon; we accept all the crosses that You have prepared for us until the last moment of our lives, and we promise to work with all our strength, helping You in the great task of saving the world.

Mary, obtain for us the grace of loving the Cross.

VI. Veronica wipes the face of Jesus

"To have seen me is to have seen the Father". Jn 14:9

Engrave, O Jesus your image in our souls so that we may never forget the painful steps of your passion.

Mary, impress in our souls the image of your Son.

VII. Jesus falls the second time

"Come to me, all you who labor and are overburdened, and I will give you rest". Mt 11:28

Jesus, we deplore the countless falls of our lives. You offered for us the humiliations and the pains You suffered on the way to Calvary. Do not permit us to sin again and help us, by Your passion and death, to avoid infidelity and inconstancy in our lives.

Mary, intercede for us that we may obtain these graces.

VIII. Jesus meets the women of Jerusalem

"Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, weep rather for yourselves and for your children. Lk 23:28

Jesus, your goodness to the women who accompanied You moves us. Grant us, Lord, that like You, we may know how to forget ourselves, to console those who suffer, and to give them strength.

Mary, be our comforter in our time of sorrow.

IX. Jesus falls a third time

"Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the man who humbles himself will be exalted". Lk 14:11

Jesus has fallen on the ground beneath the weight of the Cross. Your love for us gives You new strength to raise again. Your heart burns with love for the salvation of the world.

Mary, intercede for us that we may be faithful to our vocation: to love and to deny ourselves.

X. Jesus is stripped of his garments

"None of you can be my disciple unless he gives up all his possessions". Lk 14:33

Jesus, You want to expiate our lack of modesty. We want to weep for our sins and love the virtue of purity.

Mary, Queen of purity, grant that we may cultivate those virtues that blossomed in your heart.

XI. Jesus is nailed to the Cross

"I have come from Heaven not to do my own will, but to do the will of the one who sent me". Jn 6:38

O Jesus, it is not enough to strip ourselves, but to unite ourselves closer to You, nailing ourselves with You on the Cross, receiving all the crosses You send us as a sign of Your love.

Mary, grant us to share your suffering as Jesus is nailed to the Cross.

XII. Jesus dies on the Cross

"He became as men are; and being as all men are, he was humbler yet, even to accepting death, death on a Cross" Phil 2:7-8

We surrender before this manifestation of Your love. You, the innocent one taking the place of us the guilty ones, grant that we might love You in life and in death as we remain united with You.

Mary, as you were at the foot of the Cross, help us to endure our cross as Jesus did.

XIII. Jesus is taken down from the Cross

"Was it not ordained that the Christ should suffer and so enter into his glory"? Lk 24:26

Sorrowful Mother, You contemplated with indescribable pain His pierced hands and open side. At that moment, You offered your pain for the sins of all. We pray that we might always accompany you in your solitude, and with you plead before our heavenly Father.

XIV. Jesus is placed in the tomb

"Unless a grain of wheat falls on the ground and dies, it remains only a single grain, but if it dies, it yields a rich harvest". Jn 12:24

Mary, prepare our hearts so that when we receive the body of Christ we might have light, strength and life. May we be united with you in the later years during your solitude.

Let us pray: Eternal and loving Father, we have finished accompanying Jesus on the Way of the Cross. Grant that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary we may always remember Jesus' Passion, Death and Resurrection. We want to be true disciples of Jesus crucified under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

We will meditate on the sufferings of Jesus and Mary on earth. Please, enkindle in us the desire to be with them eternally in Heaven.  Amen.

In a special way, I pray for those priests through whom I have received Your graces. I pray for the priest who baptized me and for those who have absolved me of my sins, reconciling me with You and with Your Church.

I pray for those priests in whose Masses I have participated and who have given me Your Body as nourishment. I pray for those priests who have shared Your Word with me, and for those who have helped me and let me to You.  Amen.

Brief Form:  For all priests: Transform them into You, Lord. May the Holy Spirit possess them, and through them renew the face of the earth.  Amen.

Prayer:  Divine Heart of Jesus, Heart full of zeal for the Glory of Your Father, we pray for all Your priests. By Your Holy Spirit, fill them with faith, zeal and love.  Amen.

Heavenly Father, for the glory of Your Holy Name, we offer You Jesus, the Incarnate Word, whom we have received in the Sacrament of His love, and in whom You are well pleased.

Through Mary Immaculate, we offer ourselves united with Christ, for the sanctification and increase of Your priests. Pour Your Divine Spirit upon them, grant them a great love for the Cross and make fruitful their pastoral work. Amen.

(In accord with the sacramental and theological understanding of Holy Communion as an integrated part of the Eucharistic Sacrifice, the traditional form of “Offering Holy Communion for Priests” should be understood and practiced as an offering of the entire Mass.)

Heavenly Father, through the intercession of our Lady of Guadalupe, we You to pour Your Spirit on the Works of the Cross.

May the message of holiness, which Your Son gave to the Church, through the Blessed Concepción Cabrera, be communicated through the Works of the Cross.

May this be for Your glory, the consolation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the growth of the Kingdom of the Holy Spirit. We ask this through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
